Hiking and mountaineering

Hikers would be happy in the warm seasons in Tirolerhof. On the beautiful apple plateau of Natz-Schabs many hiking trails are just waiting to be discovered by them. From easy walks such as the village tour to more demanding tours, there is something for everyone here. The Dolomites also offer all sorts of opportunities for climbing and the mountain peaks shining in the sunset are sure to captivate you.

On the road

Natz-Schabs is well connected to the cycle path network of the Eisack and Pustertal. Both routes are around 100 kilometers long and are suitable for families as well as experienced cyclists. The routes from Brenner to Bolzano or from Mühlbach to the Austrian town of Lienz lead through hilly landscapes and cool forests – ideal for an active summer day! Mountain bikers can start from the Tirolerhof to tours in the low mountain range or to high mountain trails and passports and spend some hours in a beautiful landscape.

Swimming in our bathing lakes

Lake Varna: While you can swim in the northern part of the lake, the south of the lake is covered with reeds (actualy closed).
Lake Issing: As one of the last pond biotopes in South Tyrol, it offers its guests a very special planning experience.
Lake Montiggl: At the large lake Montiggler there is a Lido. Idyllic it is on the small Montiggler lake. Here you will find a small bathing establishment with sunbathing area.
Lake Kaltern: The warmest bathing lake in the Alps is a paradise for small and large water rats.

Braies Lake

The Lake Braies in Pustertal is considered a pearl among the mountain lakes in South Tyrol. He is hiking paradise, beach and movie set. Recommended is the cozy circuit around the emerald green lake!

The gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle

In more than 80 garden landscapes and on an area of ​​12 ha, a wide variety of plants from all over the world are flourishing and thriving. You can easily be reached on foot from Merano via the Sissi path.

MMM Corones

The MMM Corones on the summit of Kronplatz is the highest-altitude museum in South Tyrol and the sixth and last mountain museum of the South Tyrolean extreme mountain climber Reinhold Messner. It mainly focuses on traditional alpinism and the alpine history and its viewpoints offer a magnificent view of the South Tyrolean mountains.
